FlashpointCares — we are ready to help

The last two weeks for us at Flashpoint have been one of the hardest periods in our lives. Being an investor with Eastern European roots, and physical offices across Riga, Warsaw and Budapest, we are deeply disgusted by the horrors of the war in Ukraine.

Almost all of our 40 portfolio companies have revenues in the US and Western Europe, but the relatives of our own employees, investors and R&D teams of some of our portfolio companies have been affected by the events.

For the past 14 days we have been busy evacuating our relatives and the loved ones of some of our investors from Kyiv, Moscow, Kharkiv, Chernihiv. We were also involved in relocating some of the R&D teams of our portfolio companies from the war zone to ensure their safety and business continuity. We are glad that for now most of them are safe and sound.

We have been donating money directly to people affected by war, supporting humanitarian aid, trying to find jobs for IT skilled people evacuating.

We closed our Moscow office at the end of February and started the relocation of our few employees working there to other offices. For some of our team who were born in Russia, having relatives and friends in both Ukraine and Russia, these have been very hard days.

Based on our own experience, we would like to offer help to the extent possible to all tech companies who have been affected by the ongoing war in relocating personnel and ensuring business continuity. Please get in touch with us at [email protected].

We hope that this terrible war, wrecking the lives of so many innocent people is over very soon!
